Space Hire
Unit 6, Barnstaple, Devon is a creative co-working space, ideal for the freelance creative or entrepreneur.
Working in a co-working space can give structure to your day, it gets you out of the house and your slippers to a place where you are not distracted by domestic chores.
Co-working gives you back your kitchen table and we don’t mind if you spill a bit of paint on the floor. If you have one of our permanent desks, you can leave all your work out at the end of the day.
Being a creative can be quite isolating, at Unit6 you will work in a community of vibrant mix of individuals which can lead to collaboration, sharing of knowledge or simply getting feedback and support.
Exhibition Space
Unit 6 is a cool accessible space for hosting an exhibtion or show . A central location in an historic part of Barnstaple. Affordable car parking and shops nearby.

Maker Spaces
Our artist Maker workspaces are bookable on a long term basis. So if working in the spare bedroom or on the kitchen table is restricting your creativity, book one of our spaces. The cost of these workspaces is accessible, even if you are simply a hobbiest. These spaces start at £25 per week for longer term rentals. Access is 24/7
Hot Desk
If you dont want a regular space, you can have. hot desk. These can be bookable by the hour. Great for a short term project of if you just simply want a space where you can be creative and a little bit messy. These spaces can cost as little as £5 or two hours. Access is 9am-5pm
Meeting Space
Unit 6 is a quirky venue for holding a meeting, Its creative vibe will inspire thoughts and ideas for your team. The meeting space is versatile so whether it is a small group or larger team meeting, you will find tha the hire rates are very competive for central Barnstaple.
Chill out Zone
Sometimes you need to get away from your desk and work. We have a chill out space, sit back have a coffee and read or listen to music.
Plus there is access to onsite Body and Indian head massage treatments, if you wish to book with membership discount.
Framing Services
Washhouse at Unit6 Art Studios e can offer an affordable bespoke Picture Framing service. This service is available to both members of Unit6 and outside customers. Washhouse have a stock of frames onsite, so that they can match to your framing requirements. Turnaround is very swift so don’t worry if deadlines are a little tight.
Parking
There is cost effective daily car parking 5 mins walk from Unit 6. There is also a temporary drop off zone outside Unit6,
Kitchen facilities
All our booked maker spaces have free access to tea and coffee, microwave , fridge.
Free WIFI
There is free access to WIFI for all the spaces.

Maker Space
- Complete with Kitchen facilities, Toilet WIFI and other creatives. The best thing is that you can just leave all your work out, no need to clear away each time.
Hot Desk
- Access to Kitchen and toilet facilities, tea and coffee. Just remember to pack and take away all your materials when you leave.
Meeting Space
- Come and see how our creative space might be a place for your meeting, either for employees or a group with a special interest. We have toilet and kitchen facilities available. Local parking plus our artworks will help your creative juices flow.
