This month at Unit 6 Art club at Unit 6 studios, we looked at the work of Georgio Morandi. Giorgio Morandi (July 20, 1890 – June 18, 1964) was an Italian painter and printmaker who specialized in still life. In discussions we found that due to several of the resident artists use technology or high quality glossy images to create work, the simplistic paintings and muted tones of Morandi didn’t really inspire them.
